A BRIEF NOTE ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Therese Becker's poetry has appeared in numerous literary journals and anthologies including DoubleTake; Witness; The New York Quarterly; The Beloit Poetry Journal, Puerto del Sol; Contemporary Michigan Poetry:
Poems From the Third Coast and The Anthology of Magazine Verse Yearbook of American Poetry. She has a Masters of Fine Arts in Poetry (MFA) from Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, N. Carolina, and taught for many years through the Michigan Council for the Arts, Creative Writers in the Schools program. Her photography, essays and journalism have also been widely published in various anthologies, literary magazines and all of the Detroit newspapers. Passages North featured 12 of her photos in an issue and her work has appeared in five of the award-winning Papier Mache anthologies. Her latest venture is combining her poetry and photography, as well as the work
of other poets and photographers, on her card line: Mandala Press. She lives with her dog, Maggie, and four cats, Zoe, Tripod, Friday and Low Rider in Lake Orion, MI. Travel and her eight grandchildren are presently the love of her life. She has completed a full-length poetry manuscript: Song Awakening Inside the Night, and is presently in search of a publisher.
